The educational system in Turkey is one of the best in the world. It excels in the courses of Math, English and Science. Every student in the world has the right to higher learning and education. Except in nonnative institutions that require a special license to enter.
Teachers are responsible for creating the road to success for students. In June 2009 all the educational leaders formed a meeting to plan the strength and improvement of Turkey’s learning system. They came up with ways to help students achieve higher success rates to prevent them from failing.
The ones born with the ability to teach may be the key factor in helping students. The system is designed to help those obtain degrees for high level entry positions. School institutions strive to establish teachers who will have a positive impact on their class students.
10 percent of the country’s budget is used for private education, the public expenses are covered by the central government in Turkey. The school semester usually starts in September and extends through the middle of June. Some schools in Turkey have a mid-afternoon and A.M. session, some sessions are divided up in overcrowded schools.
Five days a week Monday through Friday schools are in session for 37 – 40 hours. In February there is a two week break for students and teachers. Between September 1st – January 1st college institutions organize the school year calendar in two semesters.
The Turkey education system has two different groups: Non-formal Education and Formal Education. The non-formal education strives to teach writing and reading. They also train students to have healthier lifestyles, better nutrition and knowledge to improve their life.
The formal education is optional for younger children between the ages of 3-7. Formal education ensures mental, emotional and physical development of children, this prepares children for higher education. Education for preschool is performed in nursery rooms, daycare houses and kindergartens.
The high schools in Turkey equip students with enough knowledge to guide them through higher education. In some private schools they have foreign language classes. These private schools have different types of language education classes including technical and vocational courses. All institutions in Turkey can benefit students in some way.
